I just recently upped my workout routine and was wondering when I would see the fat loss (assuming I am doing everthing correctly, diet, workout plan, etc) Is there some kind of delay on fat loss, or, say if you lost 1/4 pound in a day, would you actually see it?

The upped routine is 3-4x a week 30 min of weight training, and 7 days of 45 min on the eliptical. (I was going only 4 days a week doing weights 3 days and cardio all 4)

You can’t even see 1/4 pound Weight loss on a baby.
Think percentages. A 150 pound person who loses 15 pounds [ 10% of body weight ] is going to see it faster than a
person who weighs 225 [ 7.5% ] or one who weighs 300
[ 5% ]. there is definitely a delay, and only a significant accumulation of weight loss will be visible.

Im 16 and i’ve been dieting for about 3 months now and i lost the weight that i wanted to. I’ve only been taking in about 1800 calories and ive been burning off about 900 through intense exercise each day. Im guessing that the dedicate in calories each day has slowed my metabolism and now I want to keep exercising the way i have been but start staying the same weight so how can I eat more and increase my metabolism without gaining weight.

If you’re still exercising then hopefully you should be able to gradually increase your calories without starting to put on the weight, ie increase your metabolism. But make sure the calories come from protein and veggies/salads and not from carby foods like sugar, sugary drinks, cookies, potato snacks etc or the ‘bad’ fats such as transfats.

only because I am going to my aunts house this weekend and she makes like three cakes. I try to have willpower but it is so hard and I give in. I am exercising three times a day thirty minutes each time. I lost seven pounds so far. I just don’t want to go backwards. I also don’t want something that will make me jittery. I already have trouble sleeping so something that just might help curb appetite.

quick cheap fix, grocery store…"apple cider vinegar" take a spoonful of that when you get cravings, its gross but it works very well. and you get used to the taste.

I know diet and exercise and drinking lots of water will do the trick,,, bit I am just curious, does anyone know of a really good effective diet pill? Any stories you would like to share? THANKS!

Diet pills are not miracle pills and as they have a low success rate you are better off without them.

If you want to take them regardless you might as well take one that was in the top 5 of a medical report I came across about a year ago. The top 5 are supposed to be Orovo Detox, ZCA Stack, Phentermine (prescription only), Hamcho Slim and Hoodia Chaser.

I am looking for a weight loss pill that is effective and could be bought at a reasonable price. I am also going to the gym 5 days a week for an hr and half. Any suggestions are welcome.

I’ve tried throwing up my food but that I could never succeed at it even though Ive tried a thousand times. Finally, in April 2008 my best friend introduce me a new technique of weight loss program. At first i was a bit sceptical since i’ve been ripped off a few times. But after joining the program, I’ve lost 30 pounds in the first month and currently my weight is 120 pounds. The Truth about Diet and Weight Loss

I want to talk tonight about Weight loss. It’s a subject everyone is worried about. And the problem is that diets don’t work. Everybody has tried a diet. I haven’t met a person yet that’s hasn’t tried something, from kids to people in their eighties; everybody has tried some kind of diet and they just don’t work. In recent studies when they looked at a lot of their major diets (some good one’s, Atkins, The Zone), they put them all together statistically and found a ten pound weight loss on average. Now, these people lost a hundred pounds and gained it back of course. But, all that work, all that money, all those videos, for ten pounds of weight loss?

So the truth is, we have to find a life style that will allow you to stay at a weight that is healthy for you. That’s a much different way of thinking than all this crash dieting that goes on. What you have to learn is how to take care of yourself; you have to learn the appropriate foods; you have to make better choices. That’s the only way it’s going to work.
