I read that one of the first signs of cancer is unexplained weight loss. However, I don’t understand how this would happen in something like skin cancer – what has a cancerous mole got to do with your weight and digestive system? Medical explanation, please!

This must be at the late stage of melanoma. Weight loss is not an early symptom/sign of this cancer.

Weight loss can be caused by eating fewer calories, using more calories, or both.

Melanoma at late stage can make chemicals that change the way the body uses certain nutrients, like protein, carbohydrates, and fat. A patient may seem to be eating enough, but the body may not be able to absorb all the nutrients from the food. Tumor selectively use more glucose, so the normal metabolism of the body is no longer there.

For many patients, the effects of cancer and cancer treatments make it hard to eat well. Anorexia and cachexia are common causes of malnutrition in cancer patients.

Yogurt contains more sugar than Mountain Dew! Yogurt is not a healthy food. Yogurt should not be a part of your weight loss diet. Dannon activia and Yoplait both market themselves as essential to your diet and good for your health. They are not good for your diet, weight loss or your health. The amount of sugar that yogurt contains will make you fat. Yes, yogurt contains acidophilus, but the amount of acidophilus is unknown. A probiotic is more effective than yogurt and costs less. Healthy bacterial are required for Weight loss, but the sugar in yogurt only benefits the unhealthy bacteria.

I am not a nutritionist, just sharing what has worked for me personally to reach my Weight loss and healthy lifestyle goals. Thanks for supporting me on my journey! What fat loss supplement should i take?

I want to take a fat loss supplement but i do not wan’t to lose everything iv’e already gained. I am 6′1" and i weigh 196 lbs. I was about 173 3 months ago and im trying to cut off some of the fat i gained with the muscle i have added. Most of the weight iv’e gained is muscle but the fat is slowing me down a little bit.

Low Fat Foods don’t work
You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.

Low Calorie Diets don’t work
You won’t lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body’s fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all Weight loss comes to a halt — known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself.

Low Carb Plans don’t work
You’ll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan. Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.

I’m not naive enough to think that there are any tablets that will help Weight loss without eating properly, and exercising more regularly, but am interested to know of anything that might help the process on a bit when combined with eating right, and exercising.
For example, appetite suppressants, fat metabolisers etc.
