I need a toning/fat loss workout for a 13 year old male. I was wondering if i should do 1-2 muscles a day or if i should work the whole body when i weight train?

I’m 13 too :D

lol

but im a girl though.

so i ran 4 laps a day. i ate healthy. i still ate junk food but i controlled myself on that by eating less junk food. like only eating it when you’re really really craving it where you’ll die without it. but unless you’re craving it all the time then that’s a problem.

but i still eat whatever i want though. just dont eat foods that are too greasy. it just messes up your whole diet thing. i didnt neccesarily work out. i exercised and also my coach made me work out i guess for cheerleading so we wouldnt get fat. we had 5-6 hour practices for 2 weeks in a row. 4-5 days in a week. we ran at every practice though

um. do a little push-ups. if you’re lazy do girl push ups. do squats n stuff.

but my point is, just do things that will help you build muscle. its better than being fat right?

i lost 4 pounds of fat within a month. like 3 weeks.

good luck!
-liz

Theraband Workout To Lose Weight

Posted by: admin | Comments (19)

http://WeightLossDietPro.com Lose Weight with Therabands. It’s an easy at home solution to lose weight and burn fat fast.

When we chose to change our eating habits, we usually diet to lose weight. Sometimes we may have health issues, such as high cholesterol, which is what leads us to eat healthier. Often times we diet to lose weight because as we are overweight and realize that our eating habits may have gotten in this predicament to begin with. It is possible to just exercise and lose weight, but sooner or later the person will not lose any more weight without changing eating habits as well. Most of the time it is the other way around; people diet, that is they count carbohydrates, fat grams, or calories, somehow limiting their food intake to reach weight loss goals. Even though every source you read on diet to lose weight encourages combining the diet plan with exercise, not everyone does this right away. Of course, it is ideal to diet and exercise from the beginning of a diet plan, some people may feel overwhelmed by taking on too much change at once, if exercise has not been a part of their life.

There are quite a few online support sites to visit, that have a multitude of information for anyone looking to diet to lose weight. Some diets work better for some than others, for instance, the Atkins diet required quite a drastic cut in carbohydrates, which may not be an appropriate diet to lose weight for everyone. The South Beach Diet is a popular diet to lose weight because it allows dieters to eat many of the foods they eat anyway and is not quite as restrictive as others. There are also Weight loss systems such as Jenny Craig, the LA Weight Loss Center, or Curves for Women. All of these programs are great and offer a good deal of support for anyone who wants to diet to lose weight. Exercise is encouraged, and for the Curves for Women plan, it is the central part of the program.

When you do decide to diet to lose weight, be sure you visit with your healthcare provider first before beginning your program, especially if you have quite a bit of weight to lose, or if you have health issues that may be of concern. Exercise should not be contraindicated for anyone and can be tailored for each individual dieter’s specific needs. You diet to lose weight, but you must also incorporate exercise into your plan. You will gain greater health, and also be able to maintain your diet and fitness goals.

Easy Vegan Recipes *
Tomato Soup Recipes *
Raw Food Recipes *
Raw Food Diet *

❤ Cold Thai Summer Vegetable Stew ❤

* I n g r e d i e n t s *
…..All quantities in this recipe are up to you! Use your intuition. ;-)
— 1 Young Coconut (water)
— Carrots, several to be juiced
— Carrots, a few to be chopped
— Peas, shelled
— Cherry Tomatoes
— Kale, with leaves torn off of stems
— Collard Greens, with leaves torn off of stems
— Red Chard, with leaves torn off of stems
— Lettuce
— Garlic Cloves
— Optional Additions…only if you need them!: sea salt, olive oil, hot pepper, avocado, corn

* P r e p a r a t i o n *
— 1) Open the young coconut—refer to this video if you need help: http://bit.ly/u9Q4j —and pour its water into your Vita-Mix, or other high-powered blender of your choice. http://bit.ly/GZsuq or http://bit.ly/3OTXD9

— 2) Add chopped carrots, shelled peas & cherry tomatoes, followed by all the leafy greens: kale, collard greens, lettuce & red chard (make sure to tear the leaves off of the thick stems first!), and any of the optional additions you might need.

— 3) Lightly blend in your Vita-Mix, but not too much…you’ll want to leave it looking like a chunky stew…and then transfer to individual soup bowls.

— 4) Run the carrots you designated for juicing through your Breville juicer, or whatever the best juicer is for you. http://bit.ly/mIrEW

— 5) Serve soup with a pitcher of carrot juice offered on the side. The carrot juice allows people to thin out, sweeten and/or tone down a spicy soup, so as to suit their individual taste buds.

— 6) Enjoy!

Or is it just that you have lost muscle?. They say your body goes into "starvation mode" and starts burning lean tissue instead of fat, but how could your body keep this up permenantly? Does that mean you would be permenantly burning muscle for energy? If not then what do people mean by a "permenantly damaged metabolism?

You’re talking about two different things:
1) permanently lowered metabolism. This happens when you yo yo diet a lot. Your body thinks that you are in a starvation situation, and lowers your metabolism so you burn fewer calories. When you eat more, you’ll start gaining weight, but your body will be trained to lower metabolism more quickly, and finally, to keep it low all the time, so that you hold onto calories as much as possible. You don’t have to actually get below a certain amount for this effect to kick in–you just have to diet a number of times, losing significant amounts of weight. So your body THINKS you’re starving, but you’re actually not–you’re just burning more calories than you’re eating.
2) If your body fat percentage gets below a certain amount, it is then that your body will start burning muscles as fuel. The heart is a muscle. You can’t keep this up permanently, as at this point you really are starving to death. Burning muscles as fuel weakens those muscles, including the heart. You might die of heart failure, or of diseases that take hold more easily because your body has diverted energy away from your immune system in an effort to reduce caloric need.

So in response to you not taking in enough calories to maintain your weight, your body has 2 main responses–1) lower metabolism. It can effet this change permanently. And 2) burn your muscles for energy. This it only does temporarily, as it’s a last-ditch, crisis-mode effort to avoid death. So it will only continue until the crisis is over one way or another–either you die, or you start eating adequately.

I’m 29, I’m 5′2”. In the past 2.5 weeks i have lost 11 pounds and now weigh 205. I have already noticed a little skin sag.
I reviewed the other questions on this topic. I want to know if it is necessary to stick to the regiment of 2 pounds max per week for Weight loss or it’s alright to lose more if you’re doing higher intensity exercises like swimming, running, bicycling.
I’ve been losing weight so fast b/c i’ve cut down on how much food i’ve been eating, working out multiple times a day and cutting down on sleep ( i was sleeping too much previously).
would collagen in skin spring back faster if i lose weight at the slower rate of 2 lbs per week?
even if i lose weight faster than the 2 lbs, and lose weight at the 1 lb/ day as i am now, will my skin shrink to normal eventually? (i hope to lose at least 70 more lbs) i’m willing to lose weight 2lb/wk. i gained this weight of 65 pounds over the past year. i haven’t had it for very long. is my skin resilient? be honest.

It really doesn’t matter how big you get (as long as you are not grossly overweight). What matters is how healthy your skin is, and the skin type you were born with.

The Vitamins that directly affect skin health are…
http://www.vitaminlab.com/category.cfm?select_condition=82&category=VitaminLab-VITAMIN-Healthy-Skin
Making sure you are taking these daily along with lots of water for hydration is VITAL to help your skin repair itself.

If you can stand to do it, you should replace EVERY FLUID in your diet with water–but make sure you don’t drink too much. You need to keep your skin hydrated, but you can make yourself sick if you drink TOO much.
