i’m dieting and exercising, but i’m mostly interested for a little boost in energy and a an appetite supressant.

also, what’s the best time of day to take it? i work out in the evenings

I think if you take a good multivitamin that can really help you. I am not personally a fan of diet pills, and believe me I have tried everything in the book. If you do choose a vitamin make sure it has B-12 in it. That will give you a boost of energy.

I am wanting to loose 40 pounds before my husband is home from Iraq , He comes home between febuary and may of 2010 . anyways . .what is the best diet pill you know of ? how fast did you loose your weight ? and is there a pill I should stay away from ?
any extra tips are helpful too . I am planning on working out and exercising also

Need to lose about 25-35 pounds and want to know what diet pill that is affordable and would be helpful to go along with diet and exercise!

In my opinion – if I may – all pharma approaches to Weight loss are dangerous attempts at short-cutting what should be a natural process.

A few pointers that will accomplish the same results, just as quickly, AND will improve your health too.

- no food at the start of your day, instead make an appointment to do 30-45 mins low intensity exercise (walk or jog, depending on your current capabilities) (drink plenty of water before and during the exercise)
- vegetarian diet, high as you can tolerate in fresh whole fruits and leafy greens
- moderate strength training will accelerate your progress – any muscle added changes your metabolism and helps further burn off fat. Stronger = safer, too.

Good luck. You may do well to make an appointment with yourself to do these daily things, so they don’t fall out of consideration.

I have heard that if you are dieting to loose weight, once your body gets used to your diet, it adjusts itself to the calorie intake and you cannot burn anymore. [Your metabolism slows down]

for e.g. If i eat 2000 calories a day and i burn 2000 calories as well. Now if i reduce it to 1500 so it means that i am burning 500 calories extra,

How long does it take for my body metabolism to slow down to 1500 calories a day?
Same with workout as well, If i burn 2500 calories by a particular workout, how long will it take for my metabolism to slow down and reduce the calories i burnt?

well i been on a diet for 9 days now. my calorie intake is 1000-1200 calories. i also was drinking 1 -2 gallons of water a day. i lost 12 pounds in 9 days, but i think it does cause rapid Weight loss but for only a short amount of time. but it also depends how active you are. if your are really active then your body is going to need more food to burn for energy. and since you would be eating 1000-1200 calorie like i was its going to use fat. but i suggest have a calorie intake that low take some vitamins as well. because your body wont be getting enough nutrients.

Unless you drastically restrict calories for a very long period of time, no permanent damage is done to your metabolism. I challenge anyone to dig up a study to prove otherwise.

That said, get a post-diet sluggish metabolism back on track while increasing calories, you should slowly add calories into your diet over the course of a few weeks, while INCREASING your exercise levels. Keep an eye on the scale and on your measurements.

The idea is to keep increasing calories while staying at the same weight. You will be increasing the rate of tissue turnover (read:metabolism) through all the exercise, while getting your body accustomed to a much higher food intake. After you have maxed out your exercise (6-8 hours a week), cut back on the exercise and your food intake just a bit, and then just monitor your progress to make sure you are not gaining or losing weight.

This is also a good strategy to use for a couple of weeks BEFORE going on a fat loss diet to get your metabolism really revved up before you reduce calories.

I’m going on a diet tomorrow. I exercise too; but I always feel hungry when on a diet. That’s why I’m looking for a pill that will help me with that. Any suggestions? A friend of mine suggested Comtrex even if that is not a diet pill, he says, kinda suppresses your apetite. What do you think?

I was under the impression that fat loss leads to weight loss or vice versa but it seems both are different. Can anyone explain the difference??

Weight loss could be fat loss + muscle loss + water loss. This sets you up for rebound weight gain. the water loss will come back. The loss muscle will be replaced with fat when the weight comes back. Weight loss alone that is not ALL fat loss is not sustainable. Weight loss can be achieved via dieting but fat loss can only be achieved via a sensible diet and exercise. Fat loss is sustainable on the long term as you will most likely build on your muscle reserves while you lose fat. Fat loss is correct weight loss.

I’m looking to lose a bit of weight and I am going to start exercising daily. I need a diet pill that will help me lose weight quickly but I’m not a big fan of pills that work as laxatives but any personal experiences would greatly help aswell.

I eat right and exercise but i would like a lil help from a pill…You can say what you want about diet and exercise,,But i am just wondering from people who have tried Diet Pillz to clue me in?
